This is Why So Classes are cancelled under COVID-19

John: So Sarah, once I was a child, my school had the standard classes and that we could take band class orchestra class, choir class, and course if we wanted to require it.

Sarah: Uh-hmm.

John: But nowadays, because the virus problem in Hong Kong, school is cutting art programs, language learning programs and music programs.

Sarah: Yeah. i feel it’s regrettable. I feel that it’s really important for college kids to require these art classes or music classes. I feel it is vital for adults to be well-rounded. Albeit math and science are so important, i feel it is also important that we all know a touch bit about poetry and art and music and things like that.

John: Yeah. So in these schools where art, language learning programs and music programs are being cut, maybe sometimes they still have clubs so students can join the music club after school. But I feel it isn’t enough. Students should have the choice of taking band class during school. Maybe they can not stay after school and join a club.

Sarah: Yeah, that’s right. You say they ought to have the choice. But I feel students should be required to require a couple of classes like that.

John: Oh, that’s an honest idea.

Sarah: Uh-hmm.

John: does one think that students should be required to undertake all of these classes?

Sarah: Maybe. i feel so, but in fact , maybe they do not have time to require a full year of course . But i feel they will take a category where they will study art and music and things like that.

John: And poetry and theatre.

Sarah: Yes, all at once.

John: Oh, that’s an honest idea.

Sarah: i feel maybe it’s related. Even in grade school lately in America, they’re making recess time so short. They say, “We do not have time for recess, we must for course, for music. We’ve to specialize in math and science and reading.” But i feel students won’t listen and learn also if they do not have time to play or sing or dance.

John: Yeah, some schools, it’s getting very bad. In fact, I heard a few schools where the youngsters do not have gym class. they do not have P.E., and rather than P.E. class, they took the after lunch recess and that they said, “Before kids can play by themselves, they need to run three laps on the track.”

Sarah: Oh.

John: in order that they took away the gym class and that they deduct the free time.

Sarah: Boy, i do not want to travel that faculty.

John: Yeah.
