British government proposes to register children who receive education at home 英政府提议对在家接受教育的儿童进行注册

The number of youngsters who haven’t been receiving education in schools in England has quite doubled in five years, to around 60,000. There are many reasons for leaving mainstream education, including a scarcity of support for special needs, religious reasons or purely out of private choice, but a number of these children aren’t visible to local authorities.

The government is now proposing fixing a replacement register for all children not studying in class . The aim is to assist councils intervene when a child’s education hasn’t been up to scratch or to spot those in danger of harm.
