Modern Standard Arabic – Why you should learn the Official Language in Egypt

Modern Standard Arabic is the official Arabic language. It can be written and spoken, and there is no difference between the written and the spoken form, In its written form, Modern Standard Arabic is the language of literature and the media. The language is exactly the same across the Arab world, this is quite different with the local Arabic dialect which differs from a country to another ( Lebanese, Egyptian, Moroccan etc).

The word “Arab” means “nomad”, which makes sense considering Arabic originated from nomadic tribes in the desert regions of the Arabian Peninsula. Its graceful script, magnificent style and rich vocabulary give the language a unique character and flavour.

Arabic has too many exotic sounds, There are only a few sounds which are not found in English( ح-ض-خ-ع ) and these can be learned easily through imitation. It might be a little bit hard at beginning but with imitation and repetition you will get the hang of it.

Modern Standard Arabic is what all the young ones learn at school regardless of which region or country in the Arabic speaking countries. That makes it a good choice to learn for new learners as it is widely understood among Arabic native speakers.
