春秋時期,晉獻公在位時,最寵信一個叫驪姬的妃子。當時,晉獻公已經立了申生為太子,準備讓他繼位。可驪姬想讓自己的兒子奚齊當國君,於是她千方百計地陷害申生,最終申生自殺身亡,他的兩個哥哥重耳和夷吾逃亡國外。

後來,晉獻公病重,他把最信任的大夫荀息叫到床前,囑咐他好好輔佐奚齊當國君。荀息答應了。可是他的使命太艱難了。晉獻公一死,晉國陷入一片混亂之中。有一個名叫里克的大夫,他原來是太子申生的副將,他覺得申生死得太冤枉,一心想為申生報仇。奚齊登上君位不久,他就找到機會把奚齊給殺了。荀息只好又立了奚齊的弟弟卓子當國君,可是很快,里克又把卓子殺了。這時候,流亡秦國的夷吾回國當上了國君,這就是晉惠公。晉惠公剛當上國君,就想殺掉里克。他對里克說:“你殺掉了兩個國君和一個大夫,我如果不殺你,別人就不會服我。你受死吧。”沒想到里克不但不害怕,還冷笑著說: “如果我不殺他們,能輪到你來當這個國君嗎?你既然已經打定主意把罪名加到我頭上,還怕找不到理由嗎?”(原文是:“欲加之罪,其無辭乎?”)於是他自己撲到劍上結束了自己的生命。

成語“欲加之罪,何患無辭”由“欲加之罪,其無辭乎”演變而來,是說想要給人強加上個罪名,何愁找不到藉口。欲,想要,希望;患,害怕;辭,理由,藉口。

Tā duì lǐ kè shuō:“Nǐ shā diàole liǎng gè guójūn hé yīgè dàfū, wǒ rúguǒ bù shā nǐ, biérén jiù bù huì fú wǒ. Nǐ shòu sǐ ba.” Méi xiǎngdào lǐ kè bùdàn bù hàipà, hái lěngxiàozhe shuō: “Rúguǒ wǒ bù shā tāmen, néng lún dào nǐ lái dāng zhège guójūn ma? 約法三章

秦朝末年,人民苦於沉重的捐稅、繁重的徭役和嚴酷的刑罰,紛紛揭竿而起。公元前206年10月,劉邦率領大軍攻入關中,到達離秦朝皇都咸陽只有幾十里的灞上。僅當了四十六天秦王的子嬰,向劉邦投降。劉邦接受大將樊噲和張良的建議,下令封閉王宮,並留下少數士兵保護王宮和藏有大量財寶的庫房,隨即還軍灞上。

為了取得民心,劉邦把關中各縣父老、豪傑召集起來,鄭重地向他們宣佈道:“百姓苦於秦朝的嚴刑苛法已經很久了,應該全部廢除。現在,我與父老鄉親們約法三章:一是殺人的判處死刑,二是傷人的治罪,三是搶劫的受罰。我到這裡來,是為了替父老鄉親們除害,不是來侵害你們的,請大家放心。”父老鄉親們都表示擁護約法三章。

接著,劉邦又派人到各縣各鄉,將約法三章通告於百姓。百姓得知後都非常高興,紛紛帶著牛、羊、酒、食前來犒勞劉邦的軍隊。劉邦一再謙讓不肯接受,說:“我們的軍糧並不缺乏,不想再麻煩百姓了。”百姓們更加高興,唯恐劉邦不做王。由於堅決執行約法三章,劉邦得到了百姓的信任、擁護和支持,最後取得天下,建立了西漢王朝。

成語“約法三章”即指規定出幾條共同遵守的條款。約,協商,議定;章,指條目。

Wǒ dào zhèlǐ lái, shì wèile tì fùlǎo xiāngqīnmen chú hài, bùshì lái qīnhài nǐmen de, qǐng dàjiā fàngxīn.” Fùlǎo xiāngqīnmen dōu biǎoshì yǒnghù yuēfǎsānzhāng . Jiēzhe, liúbāng yòu pài rén dào gè xiàn gè xiāng, jiāng yuēfǎsānzhāng tōnggào yú bǎixìng. Bǎixìng dé zhī hòu dōu fēicháng gāoxìng, fēnfēn dàizhe niú, yáng, jiǔ, shíqián lái kàoláo liúbāng de jūnduì. Liúbāng yīzài qiānràng bù kěn jiēshòu, shuō:“Wǒmen de jūnliáng bìng bù quēfá, bùxiǎng zài máfan bǎixìngle.” Bǎixìngmen gèngjiā gāoxìng, wéikǒng liúbāng bù zuò wáng. Yóuyú jiānjué zhíxíng yuēfǎsānzhāng, liúbāng dé dào liǎo bǎixìng de xìnrèn, yǒnghù hé zhīchí, zuìhòu qǔdé tiānxià, jiànlìle xīhàn wángcháo. Chéngyǔ “yuēfǎsānzhāng” jí zhǐ guīdìng chū jǐ tiáo gòngtóng zūnshǒu de tiáokuǎn. Yuē, xiéshāng, yìdìng; zhāng, zhǐ tiáomù.

西漢初年,天下已定,漢高祖劉邦在洛陽南宮舉行盛大的宴會。幾輪酒過後,他向群臣提出一個問題:“大家都說說,我為什麼會取得勝利,而項羽為什麼會失敗?”

大臣高起、王陵等人說:“您派有才能的人攻占城池與戰略要地,給立大功的人加官封爵,所以能成大事業。而項羽恰恰相反,將士打了勝仗,他也不給獎勵,心胸狹小,容不下有才能的人,所以他才失敗。”

漢高祖劉邦聽了,點點頭說:“你們說的有道理,不過我最重要的取勝法寶是善於用人。比如吧,要說運籌(chóu)帷幄(wéiwò)之中,決胜千里之外,我不如張良;要說鎮守國家,安撫百姓,供應軍餉,不讓糧道斷絕,我不如蕭何;要說統領百萬大軍,攻無不克戰無不勝,我不如韓信。這三個人,都是當代的人中之傑啊。我能用他們之所長,這才是我取得天下的根本原因。可看看項羽呢,連一個范增他都用不好,還談什麼擁有天下?”

眾將紛紛點頭,打心底里佩服劉邦的高見。

在“運籌帷幄”這個成語裡,“籌”是計數的用具,多用竹子製成;“運籌”指出謀劃策;“帷幄”是指古代軍隊的帳幕。意思是張良坐在軍帳中運用計謀,就能決定千里之外戰鬥的勝利。現在人們常用它來表示善於在後方決定作戰策略,以取得成功。

春秋時期,孔子曾做過魯國大司寇,因與當權者意見不合而被疏遠。於是,孔子領著他的弟子來到衛國,推行自己的政治主張。

當時,衛國的國君衛靈公很熱情地接待了孔子。衛靈公的夫人叫南子,很得衛靈公的寵信。她對孔子很好奇,傳話給孔子說:“天下各方的君子,想要和我們國君交朋友的,都會來見見我,這次我想見你。”孔子本不想去,可如果不去的話,得罪了南子,可能會影響自己治國策略的推廣。沒辦法,孔子只好去拜見她,走個過場,敷衍了事。入宮見南子時,他隔著帷帳向北行了個禮,就匆匆離去了。直性子的學生子路對此事不高興,埋怨老師不該去見這樣的女人,孔子急得發誓說:“我如果有什麼不對的話,老天厭棄我吧!老天厭棄我吧!”

過了幾天,衛靈公和南子坐了一輛車,並讓孔子也坐了輛車跟在後面,招搖過市,引來很多百姓的圍觀。孔子覺得受到了侮辱,發了一句很著名的牢騷:“吾未見好德如好色者也。”——我沒有見過喜好德行如同喜好美色的!然後就拂袖而去,領著弟子們離開衛國,前往曹國去了。

成語“招搖過市”就是從這個故事得來的,人們常用它來形容故意在眾人面前虛張聲勢,炫耀自己,以引起人們的注意。過,穿過;市,街市。

Méi bànfǎ, kǒngzǐ zhǐhǎo qù bàijiàn tā, zǒu gè guòchǎng, fūyǎnliǎo shì. Rù gōng jiàn nán zǐ shí, tā gézhe wéi zhàng xiàng běi xíngle gè lǐ, jiù cōngcōng lí qùle. Zhíxìngzi de xuéshēng zǐ lù duì cǐ shì bù gāoxìng, mányuàn lǎoshī bù gāi qù jiàn zhèyàng de nǚrén, kǒngzǐ jí de fāshì shuō:“Wǒ rúguǒ yǒu shé me bùduì dehuà, lǎo tiān yànqì wǒ ba! Lǎo tiān yànqì wǒ ba!” Guòle jǐ tiān, wèi líng gōng hé nán zi zuòle yī liàng chē, bìng ràng kǒngzǐ yě zuòle liàng chē gēn zài hòumiàn, zhāoyáoguòshì, yǐn lái hěnduō bǎixìng de wéiguān. Ránhòu jiù fúxiù ér qù, lǐngzhe dìzǐmen líkāi wèi guó, qiánwǎng cáo guó qùle. Chéngyǔ “zhāoyáoguòshì” jiùshì cóng zhège gùshì de lái de, rénmen chángyòng tā lái xíngróng gùyì zài zhòngrén miànqián xūzhāngshēngshì, xuànyào zìjǐ, yǐ yǐnqǐ rénmen de zhùyì. 鄭人買履

春秋時鄭國有一個人,他的鞋子已經非常破舊了,他想到集市上去買一雙新鞋子。買鞋子,就要先知道鞋子的尺寸。他找來一根草繩,先量好了腳的大小,然後就順手把這根草繩放到了自己的座位上。到了趕集這一天,一大早,他就匆匆忙忙地出門了。來到賣鞋的攤子前,他講好了價錢,準備買鞋,可一摸口袋,壞了,量好的繩子忘帶了!

他又匆匆忙忙地往家跑,找到繩子,再轉身往集市上趕。等他氣喘吁籲、滿頭大汗地跑回來時,集市已經散了,鞋攤也不見了。他手裡拿著那一小段繩子,後悔不迭。

別人問清楚了情況,很奇怪地問他:“你幹嗎不用自己的腳來試試,那不就省事了嗎?你也不用來回地跑了。”可是他固執地搖搖頭說:“那可不行。我是有原則的人。我寧肯相信量好的尺碼,也不相信自己的腳。”眾人聽了,也只好無可奈何地笑了。

履(lǚ),就是鞋子。這個故事中的“鄭人”十分可笑,只肯相信一根繩子,不肯相信自己的腳。 “鄭人買履”這個成語就是比喻一些做事迷信教條而不顧客觀實際的人。

Zhèng rén mǎi lǚ

Chūnqiū shí zhèng guóyǒu yīgèrén, tā de xiézi yǐjīng fēicháng pòjiùle, tā xiǎngdào jí shì shàngqù mǎi yī shuāng xīn xiézi. Mǎi xiézi, jiù yào xiān zhīdào xiézi de chǐcùn. Tā zhǎo lái yī gēn cǎo shéng, xiān liàng hǎole jiǎo de dàxiǎo, ránhòu jiù shùnshǒu bà zhè gēn cǎo shéng fàng dàole zìjǐ de zuòwèi shàng. Dàole gǎnjí zhè yītiān, yī dà zǎo, tā jiù cōngcōng máng mang dì chūménle. Lái dào mài xié de tānzi qián, tā jiǎng hǎole jiàqián, zhǔnbèi mǎi xié, kè yī mō kǒudài, huàile, liàng hǎo de shéngzi wàng dàile! Tā yòu cōngcōng máng mang de wǎng jiā pǎo, zhǎodào shéngzi, zài zhuǎnshēn wǎng jí shì shàng gǎn. Děng tā qì chuǎnxūyù, mǎn tóu dà hàn de pǎo huílái shí, jí shì yǐjīng sànle, xié tān yě bùjiànle. Tā shǒu li názhe nà yī xiǎoduàn shéngzi, hòuhuǐ bùdié. Biérén wèn qīngchule qíngkuàng, hěn qíguài de wèn tā:“Nǐ gànma bùyòng zìjǐ de jiǎo lái shì shì, nà bù jiù shěngshìle ma? Nǐ yě bùyòng láihuí de pǎole.” Kěshì tā gùzhí de yáo yáotóu shuō:“Nà kě Bùxíng. Wǒ shì yǒu yuánzé de rén. Wǒ nìngkěn xiāngxìn liàng hǎo de chǐmǎ, yě bù xiāngxìn zìjǐ de jiǎo.” Zhòngrén tīngle, yě zhǐhǎo wúkěnàihé de xiàole. Lǚ (lǚ), jiùshì xiézi. Zhège gùshì zhōng de “zhèng rén” shífēn kěxiào, zhǐ kěn xiāngxìn yī gēn shéngzi, bù kěn xiāngxìn zìjǐ de jiǎo. “Zhèng rén mǎi lǚ” zhège chéngyǔ jiùshì bǐyù yīxiē zuòshì míxìn jiàotiáo ér bùgù kèguān shíjì de rén.
