Nǐ zuì xǐhuan shénme wèi de?
What’s your favourite flavour?
Wǒ xǐhuan chī tián de. Bùguò zuò fàn de shíhou wǒ háishì huì ràng wèidào shìzhòng de. Zuò fàn de shí hòu tiáoliào bǐ pēngrèn fāngfǎ yào zhòngyào dé duō.
I have quite a sweet tooth, but I like to have a balance of flavours at every meal. When it comes to cooking, using the right seasonings is more important than the way you cook.
♦A:没错。
That’s true. Spices can make or break a meal! I’m finished cutting the vegetables for the salad. Which dressing do you prefer: oil and vinegar, Italian dressing, or French dressing?
Nǐ kěyǐ wǎng cù zhī lǐ zài jiā yīdiǎn suàn zhī hé shǎoxǔ táng, zài sā shàng diǎn hújiāo fěn hé yán.
Why don’t you just mix some oil and vinegar together with some garlic and a little sugar, and sprinkle it with some salt and pepper?
♦A:好了。
Hǎo le. Jīntiān de wǎncān jiāng huì jiànkāng yòu kěkǒu, érqiě hái néng chī bǎo.
Ok. Tonight’s dinner will be nice and healthy, but filling at the same time.
